A Summer Idyll, and Then Three Bullets →
a fascinating read on Harlem’s gentrification. The most interesting aspect for me was to see how the ‘old Harlem vs new Harlem’ narrative was being constructed as the result of the conflict between old and new residents (on a personal note, I lived in Morningside Heights - very close to that park actually - for years so I know the drill.)
